And I get my alliteration credit for the day.
If games like Marvel vs. Capcom and Super Mario Crossover have taught us anything, it’s that crossing the streams isn’t always a bad idea. Jarosh, of the NeoGAF forums clearly shares this sentiment. Using WarioWare DIY, a DS game driven by user-made content, Jarosh has taken us on a trip in Dr. Wily’s shoes. Finally, we see the behind-the-scenes life of the ill-fated scientist, at least beyond his well-known Twitter account.
Using the robust game editor in DIY, Jarosh creates and re-imagines some key moments in Mega Man history, all presented in that classic WarioWare MicroGame fashion. From shopping for stage baddies to recharging Wily’s UFO, we now have a new understanding of the work that goes into combating the Blue Bomber.
So that’s where Wily gets the robot masters from.

That’s some devoted stage testing.
Even a mad scientist has to look his best.
We’re all hoping Frog Suit Wily makes it into Mega Man 11.
If anything, Jarosh, you’ve given us the sudden craving for a full-on Wily spinoff title. Hey Capcom, hint hint.
