Earlier today, the box art for the upcoming Wii game FlingSmash was leaked via GameStop’s website. Normally not a big deal, this particular box art showcases a new Wii controller with built-in MotionPlus, entitled Wii Remote Plus.
After releasing the MotionPlus add-on in 2009, the hardware was well-received by critics, but not as widely adopted by consumers. The new controller is Nintendo’s attempt to spread a universal adoption of MotionPlus. Expect to see a stand-alone Wii Remote Plus controllers hitting shelves shortly after Flingsmash drops on November 7th.
