Sega has recently announced that they are currently developing Shenmue City for Yahoo! Japan and DeNA’s new Yahoo! Mobage service. Mobage, which just opened today, is a social gaming service that combines the Yahoo! name with DeNA’s well-established Mobage-town, a mobile social media outlet in Japan. Shenmue City was cited as one of the premier games for the new service, listed as “the third entry” in the Shenmue series from a Japanese press release.
While this is officially the third game to be released with the Shenmue branding, it’s clearly not what fans have been wishing for all these years.
Here’s to hoping this is a sign of a full-on series revival.

I am disappoint.
Well, it’s not surprising. The other two sold so horribly that no publisher (including Sega) would support a full scale release. It would be too risky, unfortunately.
But look on the bright side, at least we’ll be able to finally know how the story ends!
Keep functioning ,splendid job!
