As most of you already know, Piki Geek is part of Pikimal.com. Sure, us cool kids over at Geek spend a vast majority of the day tossing pencils into the ceiling, but the code monkeys over in the Pikimal offices actually do work. Like, real work.
Pikis are pretty cool, as they help you find the best **** personalized for your own particular tastes. However, “finding the best flat irons” only carries my attention so far, so once a week, Josh and I throw on ski masks, break into our neighboring offices, and steal their precious secret formulas in order to create some wicked vidja game Pikis. We call these features “GeekOuts”.
We’ve got a personal favorite of mine, this week. Halo Reach Weapons. Hit the jump for the golden-delicious specifics.
So, if you click the above picture, it’ll take you to the preset of weapons for “Taking Out Vehicles.” The cool part? The results were all mathematically-generated based on the each weapon’s statistics. That’s what Pikis do – toss in personal preferences (in this case, you want preferences for blowing up a tank), and it’ll spit back the weapons you need.
If you’re a true stat nerd, start off with a blank template so you can adjust every little weapon aspect available in Reach. Otherwise, here’s some pre-made lists for you lazier folk.
This particular Piki is probably better suited for new Reach players (which, admittedly, there aren’t many of anymore), but is equally fascinating to veterans of Bungie’s latest shooter. Have fun with it, and feel free to shoot us any questions in the comments.
Could some offer a better explanation for all these charts. It doesn’t make any sense to me.
My advice is mess around with the sliders until it just “clicks” for you. What you want to remember is that if you’re looking for weapons with, say, high ammo capacity, you’d slide the ammo slider all the way to the right.

it says rocket launcher and spartan laser for me. i hate both, and am not very good with them, so i don’t put much faith in this.
