As most of you already know, Piki Geek is part of Pikimal.com. Sure, us cool kids over at Geek spend a vast majority of the day snorting crushed coffee beans, but the code monkeys over in the Pikimal offices actually do work. Like, real work.
Pikis are pretty cool, as they help you find the best stuff personalized for your own particular tastes. However, “finding the best flat irons” only carries my attention so far, so once a week, Josh and I throw on ski masks, break into our neighboring offices, and steal their precious secret formulas in order to create some wicked vidja game Pikis. We call these features “GeekOuts”.
This week, we’re entering a realm I’m not even remotely familiar with – Fallout: New Vegas. Who knew New Vegas had so much crap in it? Stick with me, folks. This one’s a doozey.
So, there’s been a bit of confusion lately as to what Pikis are and why you should give a crap. Without going all crazy-technical on you, a Piki is a decision wizard that helps you find what you’re looking for. Let’s say you’re alone in the New Vegas desert with hordes of angry mutants nearby and all you want is a gun that disintegrates your enemies. Well, guess what, Sally, we’ve got you covered like the bird **** on my car.
First, open up the New Vegas Piki in a separate tab, and follow along. By shifting the “Energy” slider over to the right, the Piki knows that I’m looking for guns capable of melting down anyone who looks at me wrong. Add in a few more necessities, like high crit damage and HP, and this is here’s the list I’m given:
So, it looks like the Alien Blaster is my business. Good to know in those high-stress scenarios. Do me a favor, faithful readers – hit up the New Vegas Piki for yourself and muck around with it a bit. We’re really trying to roll out as many gaming Pikis as we can, and it seems like the New Vegas one rocks the hardest, so far. Let us know if you come up with anything interesting or have any questions, or check out a few of the other gaming Pikis.
See you next week, when we’ll (hopefully) dive head-first into Starcraft 2.

Are you sharing your servers with reddit ?
Because it’s “broken”.
Should be back up, now. Damn you Amazon.
Please assume the EBS position.
Cool, more Geek Out, and with a very good game too :3
We actually do use some of the same servers at Reddit!
It seemed like a good idea at the time.
