You guys like pretty stuff, right? ArcheAge, an upcoming MMO from XL Games, just released a teaser video (a trailer for a trailer, if you will) that highlights the game’s beautiful environments. ArcheAge looks to create a new style of MMO with quite a bit of sandbox elements. Basically, they want players to have a huge impact on the world around them. Developers say that every server will be unique due to the players influencing the environment.
ArcheAge uses CryEngine 2 and 3 to produce pretty incredible looking landscapes. Check out the trailer after the break.
Looks pretty. Environments that can be altered by player action is a feature that’s sorely needed in MMOs. Mix that with a good overarching plot and you’d have a great game.
