Remedy Entertainment Ltd. announced today that Alan Wake is finally coming to PC’s in two weeks’ time. The game will be priced at $29.99, including the DLC, with a $34.99 Collector’s Edition offering, and will be available on Steam, Origin, and other popular digital stores with retail versions following some time later.
Check out the list of special enhancements for the PC version after the break.
- Experience Alan Wake’s Pacific Northwest in higher resolutions and higher fidelity than ever before
- Fully configurable mouse and keyboard support (or if you prefer to play with the Microsoft gamepad connected to your PC, you can do that too!)
- A wide selection of customizable graphics settings and support for 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10 aspect ratios
- Multithreaded engine that takes advantage of quad core CPUs
- Additional features our fans have sought after, such as field of view adjustment as well as “hide HUD”.
- Works with AMD Eyefinity 3D 3-screen mode
- Works with NVIDIA NVISION2 Stereoscopic 3D
It’s interesting to see the return of a focus on quad-core processors for the game, as it was said to be made specifically for back in 2006. Six years later, how much better performance can specific development for quad-cores yield?
Remedy are no strangers to PC development, having developed the legendary Max Payne games, so they should be able to pull of a great port with this title. Now here’s hoping American Nightmare doesn’t take as long to hit the PC.
